The job comes with a certain amount of responsibility. That Priyanka Chopra brings a very large amount of sensuality into her projects is a given. So much so that roles are changed if and when steps into a project.

In Karan Johar’s Dostana, the swimming costume shots came in only after Aishwarya Rai said ‘No’ to the film, and now Priyanka’s entry into Karan’s next, Agneepath 2, has ruffled a few feathers.

In fact, lately, there has been much dispute in Karan’s company Dharma Productions over Priyanka’s sensuality-quotient in their forthcoming remake of Agneepath.

The original character of the nurse (played by Madhavi) has been found a bit boring for Priyanka’s presence.

The character is now being re-written into a different professional space to accommodate Priyanka’s presence. All said and done, Priyanka will not be seen as a nurse in Agneepath 2.

Says Karan, “We can’t have Priyanka playing a nurse, please!”

There is a good chance that this guy might be the new man in her life. Piggy Chops, they say, has found a special friend in Sahil Shroff, a model from Mumbai who is also playing a supporting role in Farhan Akhtar's Don2.
Aside from appearing in several top commercials in the recent past, Sahil has also contested in the reality TV show, The Amazing Race Asia.

Rumour has it that the chemistry between the two was palpable from day one itself on the sets of Don2. They hit it off instantly, and since then, have shared a great rapport with one another.

Says a source, "Priyanka and Sahil get along like a house on fire. They are very good friends. Don 2 is Sahil's first film and the actor was struggling for a bit to come to grips with the demands of this mega-project.

We hear Priyanka gave him tips and helped him get a few things right." We wonder what those things are.

Defending Priyanka, a friend of hers told Mumbai Mirror, "That's the way Priyanka is with everybody. She is a very friendly and chilled-out girl who has no airs about her."

Despite repeated attempts, neither Priyanka nor Sahil reverted to our calls or text messages, but a friend of Sahil's called to say, "Sahil is not available for comment.

He is out of the country."

Priyanka and Shahid, who had an off-and-on love affair, finally called it off in October.

Their last fight (Mumbai Mirror, November 15) was over Ranbir Kapoor, supposedly triggered by Priyanka's growing proximity to Ranbir on the sets of Anjaana Anjaani.

Even though she is being paid more than them, Priyanka Chopra is in no mood to join the bandwagon of Bipasha Basu, Mallika Sherawat & Co.

The actress has kicked a Rs 3 crore offer to shimmy at a 5-star hotel for this New Year’s Eve. This amount being offered to her is actually double of what she would demand for a role in a film (Rs 1.5 crore, at last count).

The time it would take to earn this amount is as little as 3 hours of actual work.

The schedule of a film is much longer, going into months. So why has Chops turned down such a profitable offer?

The answer is her diva image that she has been painstakingly building up over the last few years.

A source close to Priyanka told Mumbai Mirror, “A 5-star hotel in Andheri came up with an offer to Priyanka asking her to gyrate at the forthcoming New Year’s Eve.

Priyanka turned them down politely.” Explaining why Priyanka declined, the source added, “Priyanka is very uncomfortable dancing in hotels in front of a live audience.

She doesn’t get a very good feeling in doing such performances. Yes, Rs 3 crore is a very tempting amount. But despite the hotel officials coaxing her, Priyanka was adamant that she wouldn’t toe the line.” The actress remained unavailable for comment. Dirty dancing alone, Chops?

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra might state that she is averse to doing item number but the lass has no reservations when it comes to dancing on sleazy numbers at weddings. The hottie says she feels uncomfortable performing in front of a live audience at high profile hotels but prefers dancing at weddings.

Reportedly, the sexy Bollywood babe had turned down a whopping Rs 3 crore offer to perform at a New Year’s Eve event. A source close to the actress while talking to a tabloid revealed, “Priyanka was in Delhi this very Friday dancing for a wedding. And immediately the next day, on Saturday, she was back in Mumbai performing at the Turf Club for another wedding.”

The former Miss World danced to all her chartbusters at the wedding and was nothing less than a delight for the guests present there. And to shake legs with PC proved to be quite expensive as the organizers had to pay her a huge fee of Rs 2 crores to get the diva groove in.

“Priyanka danced on all her numbers right from Desi Girl and Dhan-Te-Nan at both the weddings. She performed solo and the audience really enjoyed her performance.She was paid a fat sum, amounting to almost to Rs 2 crore each to dance at both these weddings,” adds the source.

Any guesses to know what makes Piggy Chops dance? Money is our guess!

Priyanka Chopra has taken on a new social cause. She has attached herself to an initiative titled Wave that will sponsor the education of a group of girls and also help build a school.

A source reveals, "Priyanka is particularly interested in the education, especially that of the girl child. When the opportunity came by, she immediately decided to give her support to the initiative. Despite her commitments, Priyanka has taken personal interest in meeting the group of girls who will benefit from the cause."

The motto for the Wave initiative is 'Adoption for Education' and Chopra will also put together a performance for a concert to raise money to support the charity.

The source adds, "Muskaan and Nanhi Kali are the two NGOs that will work closely with Wave to help garner funds to build a school for the girls."

Priyanka confirms, "When I was asked to be part of this event, I didn't need to think twice.

I wanted to be a part of what is an awesome idea: celebrating everything about women, recognising their immensetalent and drive. I'm honoured to be part of this wonderful initiative."

December 14, 2010 : Bollywood is currently under the spell of sequels and trilogies. The current trend of moviemaking in the Hindi film industry will reveal that almost every film which was popular at the box office is being brought back as a sequel for the audience.

Therefore the Roshan family too is not to be left behind in the race. After tasting bitter failure with their earlier release 'Kites', the father - son duo of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan will be back on the Bollywood screen with a sequel to their 2006 release 'Krrish'.

According to reports circulating in the media, apart from Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra has also been roped to reprise her role of the journalist in the sequel to the 2006 superhit film. Contrary to earlier reports where it was said that leggy lass Piggy Chops will not be a part of the upcoming movie because of her supposed fallout with the Roshans, a source close to the Roshan family has said in a statement to the media that Priyanka Chopra was the first and only choice for the sequel to Krrish.

The plot of the sequel has not been revealed as of yet, but reports suggest that the sequel will begin from where the prequel saw its end. Therefore we can expect that while Hrithik Roshan as Krrish will still be the superhero, Priyanka Chopra will be his journalist girlfriend. Rakesh Roshan however will have to search for a new negative character for his upcoming project.

Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor, who have been very much in news for their cat fights and taking digs at each other, have now decided to make amends and turn friends. Thus, as Shahid was handed over the hamper by Karan, there was quite a baby tug of war between the couple.

Though the engagement rumours may still need validation, congratulations are in order for one of the most handsome couples in the entertainment industry.

Yes, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are most definitely in love. Not only did Chops visit him in Chandigarh twice in December during his long schedule for Pankaj Kapoor's Mausam, Shahid actually took a day off from the same shooting schedule to be with her in Goa, where she was holidaying with her parents, brother and best friend Tamanna.

A source from the Mausam crew says, “Priyanka has come here to Chandigarh twice. On December 30 Shahid flew to Goa to bring in the New Year with Priyanka and her family. On December 30 he actually missed his flight to Goa via Mumbai, so he caught another one from Chandigarh via Delhi to Goa.” Talk about going great lengths to be with your love!

Apparently Shahid spent New Year’s Eve with Priyanka and flew back to Chandigarh on January 1. The Mausam shooting had come to a standstill for these two days.

But the source is quick to stand up for Shahid in saying that he wasn't the one responsible for a causing a delay in the shooting schedule, “We had decided to take a break for New Year's anyway. We were all there. Shahid's absence was glaring especially because his father was there. We joked about how the 'Mausam' was very romantic in Goa at this time of the year.”

Significantly, the off-and-on couple were together twice in Chandigarh last month.

Says the source, “Priyanka came over last weekend and the weekend before that. We were not supposed to know. But our art director Samir Chandra was on same flight from Mumbai to Chandigarh that Priyanka took. He innocently blurted out that he saw Priyanka on his flight.”

Apparently, Shahid and Priyanka drove to Simla after she arrived in Chandigarh.

But the couple has made every possible effort to keep their relationship away from the media glare.

Says the source, “Shahid's high profile relationship and subsequent break-up with Kareena was very hard for him to handle. But Shahid was not comfortable talking about his private life. And Priyanka for her part has never spoken about her past relationships. The pattern remains unchanged.”

But the fact is that Priyanka and Shahid are very much a couple now. According to common friends they have decided to give the relationship their best shot in 2011. That they recently signed a film together, Kunal Kohli’s next directorial venture proves that both Piggy and Sasha want to spend quality time together. And of course, that way, they wouldn’t have to spend so much on flying to different cities.

So they are not a couple, right? If reports are to be believed, Priyanka and Shahid are not only dating, they will also be engaged in a while!

Well, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra not only spent New Year together, they did it in public, making it clear to onlookers in Goa that something is surely brewing between them.

The fact that Priyanka Chopra's parents were also included in the dinner date has sparked off rumors of an imminent engagement. Post the patch-up episode with SRK on a flight to Durban, the now high-five buddies, Piggy Chops, Sasha and Shah Rukh Khan, landed at the Mumbai airport on Monday and the three left in their respective cars.

While SRK went straight to Hrithik Roshan's birthday party, Shahid and Priyanka couldn't take the separation for too long.

Apparently, near Hotel Grand Hyatt, Piggy Chops left her car and jumped into Sasha's Range Rover and the two sped away. Little did they know that the shutterbugs, who the couple was dodging for so long, were chasing them throughout.

Around Mithibai College, Sasha realized that the media was following them. It was then that he accelerated his car and stopped only when they reached their building, Raheja Classique, leaving the media waiting outside.

Before they could heave a sigh of relief, another drama unfolded inside Raheja Classique. A photographer, who had apparently been tipped off, awaited his opportunity to click the couple together. Seeing the lensman inside the premises, ready to catch them in the act, Sasha lost his cool.

The determined photographer kept requesting Sasha to allow him to take just one picture. Shahid had no option but to calm down. He requested the photographer with folded hands to leave the building. While all this happened, Priyanka waited inside the car till Sasha convinced this particular photographer to leave the place immediately without any picture.

Of course, Priyanka and Shahid remained unavailable for comment on this adventure.

We hear, they told some mediapersons at the airport that they are together. So why deny the poor photographer this one opportunity?

Priyanka stint as a poetess came to the forefront at a recent awards show for woman. The award ceremony was held to pay a tribute to the spirit of womanhood. Priyanka took everyone by surprise by writing some lines for veteran actresses like Saira Banu, Hema Malini and Madhuri Dixit.

Priyanka thinks differently than the rest and wanted to make the award ceremony special. Sources added that Priyanka was not very keen to abide by the script that was given to her by the organizers. Time was running fast and the award ceremony was just about to begin when Priyanka and Rowena Baweja, the conceptualiser of the award ceremony penned down some thoughts for the three actresses. The shayaris in the names of the actresses were done in an hour and Priyanka even finished the voice over for the audio visuals.

A source close to Priyanka Chopra adds that she loves to write shayaris and she has recently read Rumi and Ghalib. Priyanka has been penning down her thoughts whenever she finds the time. However, Priyanka does not like to discuss about it. A close friend to Priyanka also adds that Priyanka does not get enough time to write poetry as she is busy with her professional commitments.
