The entire star cast of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin has taken to the road.
As a part of the unique promotional strategy designed by director Zoya Akhtar and her team, they will make a road trip from Mumbai to Delhi and halt in between too.
The trip starts from Bandra, Mumbai on July 7, with stopovers at Surat, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Udaipur and finally to end the journey in Gurgaon, on July 10. Our source said, “They will possibly drive 1500 kms on their own.
Once in Delhi, the star-cast will perform at a live concert in Gurgaon. This is the first time that such a different marketing strategy has been planned to promote a film.”
Producer Ritesh Sidhwani said, “Over a period of three months while we shot the film in various parts of the country, we ourselves took the road instead of taking flights to these places. When you think of road trips why think only about Europe or USA? India is equally beautiful. We connect six cities like Surat, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Udaipur and then finally Delhi.
The actors were excited about the road trip and to meet the fans of different cities on our way . I am sure after watching the film you will call your friends and say that lets just spend time together. ”
The film will hit the theatres on July 15. Hope they return in time.

Rakesh Roshan gives away the rights of the film to multiple distributors, even before it goes on floors

Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish was regarded the trendsetter in Indian cinema and one of the highest grossing films in 2006. Labelled as the first major superhero film in Bollywood, since Shekhar Kapur’s Mr India, the film garnered critical acclaim and was elevated to a blockbuster rating.
With such a positive reception, it is no surprise that a sequel to the film was being chalked out. However, in this highly unpredictable industry, even though the original Krrish was a mega hit, only a man with Rakesh Roshan’s business acumen would be able to sell a product (the sequel to Krrish) before it even goes on floors.
Reportedly, the filmmaker’s sequel to the blockbuster Krrish has been sold almost entirely.
A source told us, “Rakesh Roshan has only maintained the rights of the film in Mumbai.
All other territories have fetched him a good price.” And, also doing the rounds are rumours that the channel rights have been sold to a leading channel at a price, speculated to be higher than what even Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots received.
Roshan’s resolution to sell the rights of the sequel, slated to go on floors in November, is not the only unconventional decision he has taken. Interestingly, the filmmaker has sold the film rights to multiple distributors.
“While Eros International has acquired the overseas rights, the all-India rights have been sold to individual companies,” added the source.
When asked why Roshan chose to sell the rights to more than one company, the source explained, “Well, nowadays the corporates create a lot of issues, especially financial agreements, which have an adverse effect on the film. Rakesh Roshan has great business sense and he knows what is happening around him.”
Apparently, even the film’s music, to be composed by the filmmaker’s brother Rajesh Roshan, has been up for grabs.
The source told us that the music rights have been acquired by T-Series for Rs 5 crore. Even though the music of the film is in its preliminary stage, the one song that T-Series heard, in the original film, was convincing enough for the company to buy the music rights.
When contacted, head honcho of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar, confirmed, “We are very happy to be associated with a cool franchise like Krrish.”
The sequel to Krrish stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra Chitrangada Singh and Vivek Oberoi.

Abhay Deol has just knelt before his girlfriend with a ring; Hrithik Roshan has just broken up with his; and Farhan Akhtar doesn’t have one. And when the three school friends meet in Spain on an adventure trip, you say voila!
Here is something fresh and spirited after a long time. The camaraderie is honest and the pranks real. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara works mainly because nothing is laboured here. Every action is spontaneous, but of course with a Newton-isque reaction. And they make for some comic gems. All the three are master mockers and often find themselves at a loss of legs to pull.
Farhan Akhtar gets the best of lines. Quite natural when sister Zoya is at the helm of affairs. A copywriter-cum-poet, he is on a mission to meet his biological dad. Financial broker Hrithik wants to mint money till 40 and then retire, whereas money is never an issue for Abhay Deol, thanks to his tycoon dad.
The first half is devoted to the three “bonding” after a gap. And the result is Tourism Spain. Not bad at all, as the men travel the length and breadth of an amazing nation. Scuba diving, sky diving, a tomato festival... the roadies are ready for more thrills, with adventure-freak Katrina Kaif joining them midway.
All along, the movie shows how important it is to have a shoulder to cry on — a friend’s shoulder, that is. And it all ends with the famous Pamplona bull run where the three amigos make a spirited sprint after sorting out their own demons.
A good watch.

Welcome to the first in a fortnightly column reviewing new Indian movies on release in the UK. Indian cinema, and the dominant Hindi-language Bollywood most of all, is the silent success story of Britain's multiplexes. In 2009, more than half of the 20 highest-grossing foreign language films released here were produced or co-produced in India. And yet the attention Indian cinema receives outside specialist publications is negligible. You could say that Bollywood films in Britain were hiding in plain sight, if putting "Bollywood" and "plain" in the same sentence didn't feel like heresy. It would certainly be a shame if anyone were deterred from sampling Indian cinema by this lack of mainstream press; they would be denying themselves one of the richest cinematic food groups of all.
Off we go then ... Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (which translates as You Won't Get a Second Life) is a road movie, a buddy movie, a travelogue and a love story all at once, adhering to that Bollywood law that asks: "Why occupy one genre when you can straddle three or four?" Its bachelor-party-on-the-road scenario, with three former school pals driving across Spain in advance of the wedding of one of their number, may induce a slight Hangover at first glance. But any resemblance to brash US comedies evaporates long before one character is shown weeping gently following his first diving expedition. The scene – all shimmering underwater photography and sombre poetry on the soundtrack ("The moment flows by like molten sapphire/ Deep blue silences") suggests that the projectionist has queued up a reel from The Tree of Life by mistake.
The film's premise could have been spewed out by a computerised plot generator. Each of the three friends – workaholic high flyer Arjun (Hrithik Roshan), clownish Imran (Farhan Akhtar) and coy groom Kabir (Abhay Deol) – gets one neurosis to overcome. And still the movie is winningly funny and ingenuous. A phalanx of Hollywood script doctors might have punched up the one-liners, but they couldn't have improved upon the warmth and rapport of the cast, or the delicate structural twist that shows the apparently simple opening scene, in which Kabir proposes to Natasha (Kalki Koechlin), in a more complex light further down the line. Musical numbers are used sparingly: we're 100 minutes in, and on the far side of the intermission, before Arjun bursts into song – reflecting the long-deferred uncorking of his emotions.
For a movie about men, it's stubbornly un-macho. When Arjun loses his phone, the replacement comes in shocking pink ("I'm a trader, not a Japanese schoolgirl!"); Imran is an Oscar Wilde buff; the women are unmistakably more confident than the men. And with so much US cinema hinging on father-and-son bonding, it's a relief to find that the one such relationship here can't be resolved by shooting hoops or exchanging playful punches to the upper arm.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara opened on 15 July and became the only new release to enter the top 10 on the same weekend as the latest Harry Potter. It's still playing to full houses, and you can see why. Slick it may be. But tourist board employees representing the various Spanish cities flattered in the movie are not the only ones who will come out grinning.

Hrithik Roshan named brand ambassador for Liberty

Hrithik Roshan has been made the brand ambassador for shoe giant Liberty and the makers say that they zeroed in on the Bollywood heartthrob because he connects with the youth.
'Hrithik has an immense sense of style and connection with the youth that complements Liberty which is trying to revamp the brand by adding youthful and vibrant feel to it. Hrithik is a complete family person; he has strong family values and thus he is an apt personification of Liberty's ideology,' Anupam Bansal, director, Liberty Shoes Ltd, said in a statement.
The company hopes the superstar will give the brand a vibrant and youthful makeover.
'It feels great to be part of a home-grown brand which has been constantly serving the worldwide audience since more than 50 years. Besides, the collection is superbly stylish yet comfortable, just how we all like it. I am really enjoying being associated with the Liberty family,' Hrithik said in a press statement Tuesday.
Liberty has plans to introduce innovative and stylish products towards the end of the month.

Hrithik Roshan recently shot a new video for Just Dance at Film City and after wrapping up at about 9.30 pm, he headed to a post- production studio in Bandra to help with the editing.
It was nearly 6.30 am by the time they finished cutting the song. But there was no respite for Duggu. He had to fly out to Hyderabad to oversee the preparation for the first schedule of his homeproduction, Krrish 2. So he rushed home to freshen up, packed his bag for a day’s trip before heading to the airport to board his flight. Phew!

Bollywood is on the path of charity. On the one hand there is Salman Khans NGO Being Human while on the other there are several celebrities doing charity in their own small way.
Some time back Asin was in the news for her silent acts of kindness and now it is the Roshans. Recently Hrithik Roshan donated a school bus to Dilkhush Special School. It is an educational institution in Juhu for the mentally challenged children.
Father of two, Hrithik Roshan says, 'Children have a very special place in heart. I too have kids and they have a beautiful heart. Being poor is bad enough, but the worst is when one is poor and ill.'In the past, Duggu has sponsored heart operations of 15 children, the amounting to Rs 15 lakh.
Hrithiks wife, Sussanne Roshan too is a charitable person by nature. Speaking about her Hrithik says, 'Sussanne too participates in these charities but she prefers to stay away from the news. She has donated auto rickshaws for those who were desperately in need. The rickshaws run on LPG, for a better and green environment.'

While most stars only talk about doing charity, Hrithik Roshan believes in actions speaking louder than words. Recently, he donated a bus to a school in Juhu for special kids. The school had only one bus and needed one more for the growing number of kids. Hrithik has been associated with the school since the 26/7 floods in 2005, when the school has approached him for funds, and he has been doing lots of work with them since. When Hrithik went over to hand over the keys of the bus to the school, the kids put up a special dance performance for him on his songs. The actor was so happy that he danced along with them, and even went on a bus ride with them after the inaguration.
Duggu then organised breakfast for the kids from a local restaurant, which he shared with them before finally leaving.

Hrithik Roshan practising with a sword in Jodhaa Akbar did not just make women go weak in their knees, it made men go green with envy. And now, the actor is all set to revive his Greek God avatar. In fact, this time around, Hrithik will be seen in his muscular best.
The actor who first dropped a few sizes for Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and then gained it all back for Karan Johar's Agneepath by consuming as many as 22 eggs a day, has started training under Satyajit Chaurasia for his forthcoming film, Krissh sequel.
A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "Hrithik has to undergo muscle maturity now. Woh kafi lean ho gaya hai. He has to gain some weight for Krissh sequel." And the man assigned for the job is his physical trainer, Satyajit Chaurasia. The training will start 14 days from now.
Revealed the source, "Hrithik did gain weight for Agneepath. But now that he finished the portions where he was supposed to look bulky, he has again become lean. He needs to follow a strict diet plan and exercise regimen to get into the shape his father Rakesh Roshan wants for the sequel to Krissh."
When contacted, Chaurasia said, "Yes, Hrithik will undergo training to increase his muscle maturity. I will be with him on it."
Hrithik has a deadline too. Krrish 2 goes on floors in a month. Hence, Hrithik will be undergoing at least 4 hours of training every day. Added the source, "As Hrithik starts with his training from mid-October, he will have only a month to meet the requirement. Knowing Hrithik's involvement and passion for every project he undertakes, it shouldn't be difficult. Tough, but not impossible."

Hrithik Roshan is on a high these days. According to a recently conducted survey, he was voted the best host on a non-fiction show.
He is being appreciated for his "honesty and his friendly manner with the contestants". This has endeared him to viewers. Buddy Shah Rukh Khan is all praise for Duggu,
"The show's format gave HR fans and the public a chance to interact with their screen idol." The actor himself is overwhelmed by all the love and praise he has received from fans and colleagues.

The actor was filming for KJo’s Agneepath for eight days continously in Madh Island

He was revelling in the record breaking TRP of his reality TV show Just Dance, with 97 million viewers tuned in. But Hrithik Roshan's celebrations were short-lived, as the actor had to resume work after only a day of rest to shoot for Agneepath. Reportedly, Hrithik, who has been shooting for the Karan Johar production in the torrid heat of Madh Island, suffered a major heat-stroke.
A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "The actor has been rather overworked. After shooting non-stop for 72 hours, for the finale of Just dance, he just took only one day off And then he started shooting for Agneepath for eight days continuously, at Madh Island. Since he is filming for the climax portions of the film, Hrithik has had to shoot a lot in the heat. That's how he ended up with a heat-stroke."
The source told us that since the actor is slated to work on his home production Krrish 2, next month, Hrithik has been keen to complete shooting for Agneepath soon. "Despite suffering a heat-stroke, Hrithik has not taken off and is adamant to finish the shoot," added the source.

Hrithik Roshan was spotted at south Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital a week back, undergoing various medical tests.
He was advised bed rest at the time. Mumbai Mirror finds out that the actor who has been suffering from Repetitive Stress Injuries (RPI’s) due to his busy schedule, has been advised 10 more days of bed rest. In fact, his doctor insisted that Hrithik should go on a break. However, the actor seems to be ignoring the doctor’s advice as he is scheduled to shoot for his film Agneepath today at Madh Island.
Dr Sanjay Desai who had advised Hrithik to undergo an MRI and a few blood tests, said, “I have asked him to take another ten days of bed rest.” Desai, who is a joint replacement surgeon, added that Hrithik’s condition was an outcome of continuous pressure on his joint muscles and his back. He was working for 14-16 hours a day juggling between the shoot for Agneepath as well as his dance show on television.
“The MRI reports clearly showed that his joint muscles as well as his back were abused to the maximum. These injuries are termed as RPI’s or overuse injuries,” said Desai.
“What was worse, Hrithik, despite being overworked used to workout in the gym to relax himself. So I asked him to just stop everything and just lie low,” added Dr Desai.
Hrithik is apparently not too happy with the advised bed rest. “He has to start shooting for Krrish 3 and he has been restless because of that. I had to actually talk to his wife Suzanne to make sure Hrithik followed my advice sincerely for his recovery,” said Desai. The actor has been prescribed medicines, which include muscle relaxants, anti inflammatory drugs and vitamin supplements.
A source from the industry revealed, “Hrithik had some issues earlier as well. However, he continued to shoot back then. Even now that the doctor has advised him to rest, Hrithik is keen on finishing the shoot of Agneepath. He has to concentrate on his home production Krrish 3, which goes on floor in the end of November.”

B-town most handsome and the best body dancer Hrithik Roshan was on cloud nine recently when Hindi cinema's King of Romance Yash Chopra complimented him and said words of praise for Duggu (Hrithik loving called).
It was awe inspiring for Hrithik to have a fan in Yash Chopra who went gaga after seeing Hrithik in the 'Agneepath' trailer.
Informs a close hand, "Among all the movie trailers that Yash Chopra has seen he has love Hrithik's the most! He feels Agneepath has got the massy element to it."
Yash Chopra has always felt that Hrithik is the most talented actor the industry has and he says he is convinced more of Hrithik's range as an actor after the trailer of the film.
Karan Johar confirms the appreciation by adding, "Yes Yash uncle loved the promo. He loves me and is always super excited about everything I do - just like papa (Yash Johar) used to be. Yash uncle is a great source of encouragement and big support system to me."

With 1,005,487 followers, Hrithik has joined the league of Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan who enjoy more than a million followers on Twitter.
While Amitabh has 1,490,019 followers, Priyanka Chopra has 1,625,136 followers. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have 1,366,079 followers and 1,232,545 followers respectively.

The on-screen couple sizzles in a romantic song for KJo's Agneepath
He has the intensity of a wild cat, while she has the vulnerability of a trapped deer. In a slow, romantic number in Agneepath, their wet clothes accentuate the raw physicality, and the downpour on screen is hardly enough to keep the smouldering temperatures at bay.
It's a no-brainer why Karan Johar decided to cast Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra together in Agneepath. The filmmaker knew he could recreate the magic of their 2006 mega-hit Krrish; the five years they'd stayed away from each other only enhanced the magic of this sensual screen pair.
Commenting on their pairing, trade guru Taran Adarsh says, "Hrithik has a raw appeal that is yet to be tapped. Even in his father's masala movies, he comes across as being polished. But in Agneepath, director Karan Malhotra has managed to bring out untapped aspects of Hrithik's persona. Priyanka has already proved her versatility. From Fashion to Saat Khoon Maaf, one has seen a wide oeuvre. She is not only a glamorous girl; she's an actress of substance too.'' Leading film critic Rajeev Masand feels Hrithik and Priyanka are perfectly matched physically. "Both are tall and lean... he is fair, she is dusky... they make a very striking couple. Theirs is the perfect casting because they are physically very compatible on screen. I really liked them together in Krrish.''
Vajir Singh, editor of a film trade magazine, says, "In Krrish, PC didn't have much to do except be ornamental. She was younger then, and roles weren't being written for her. Now it's a different ball game. Whether a cameo or a full-fledged role, PC is capable of stealing the show. As for her and Hrithik, even in Krrish, you couldn't help but notice that whenever she was on screen with him, she complemented him in every sense. Both actors take their craft beyond just being attractive lookers. They are both powerhouse performers."
Since public opinion is totally in their favour, Rakesh Roshan too has chosen this screen couple for his Krrish sequel.

On December 9, 2011, Mumbai Mirror had reported that Sanjay Dutt was suffering with an eye infection, postponing the Chandigarh shoot of Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardar.
In fact, on the very same day, Neha Dhupia had reportedly fainted at the press conference in Delhi for her film Pappu Can’t Dance Saala.
The very next day, actor Nikhil Dwivedi was said to have suffered two fractures in his right hand, while shooting an action sequence for Vikram Bhatt’s next, Hate Story. And now, accident-prone Hrithik Roshan has fallen victim to yet another injury. While shooting for Krrish 3 last week at Filmistan Studios, the actor fell down and hurt himself very badly.
A member from the unit revealed to Mumbai Mirror that Hrithik, who has been assisting his father on the sets, attempted to attend to his injury himself. “Hrithik tried to use the first-aid kit to nurse his hand, but then he realised that the injury required professional attention.
His skin on his right hand had peeled off and so, he had to take a break from the shoot. Everyone on set was very concerned, but he did not let it affect the shoot,” added the unit member.
Milan Luthria diagnosed with Typhoid
He should have been reveling in the success of his hit film The Dirty Picture. But, instead director Milan Luthria has been suffering with Typhoid and has since been bedridden. Not only were his post-film celebrations short-lived, but all his future endeavours had to be squashed too.
A friend of the director revealed to Mumbai Mirror that Luthria, on Sanjay Dutt’s advice, had planned a trip to Cape Town to scout for locations to shoot his next film Once Upon A Time in Mumbai 2. But now, he is not in the condition to jet set to anywhere for a long time.
When contacted, Luthria said, “On a personal note, it’s been bad not to be able to celebrate. But thank God for cell phones. In the grander scheme of things, it’s nice to get this time to reflect without being surrounded by a lot of people."

Hrithik Roshan had been bedridden with his back injury for quite some time now. The actor, who now needs to get back in shape for his superhero avatar in the Krrish sequel, is leaving no stone unturned for the same. Hrithik, who had been reportedly helping his father on the sets of the film has hired one of the most expensive physical trainers for himself.
Mumbai Mirror has learnt that the trainer Kris Gethin and his wife Maraica Johnson have been flown down from the US and have been put up in a plush service apartment in Juhu by the actor.
A source close to the actor informed Mumbai Mirror, “Kris Gethin came down to Mumbai in September for the Mr Olympia contest. That's when he met a common friend of Hrithik. And when Hrithik was thinking of hiring a trainer to help him get in shape for Krrish 3, the friend suggested Kris.”
Krish and Maraica will reportedly stay in Mumbai till February 2012. Hrithik will be training with them for three months. “The body building process that Kris uses is called DTP. Hrithik will have to go through rigorous training sessions that will change every week,” added the source.
Hrithik is paying Rs 20 lakh per month for the training session, informed the source.

It seems that Duggu has taken it upon himself to make Bollywood smoke-free. While he's training to look the part of a powerful superhero for Krrish 2, he's also spreading the fitness fever around town.
We all know that he quit smoking a year ago, and a book on how to quit smoking helped the actor a great deal. Now, we hear Duggu's passing on the same book to his smoker buddies. First one on the list was Agneepath co-star Sanjay Dutt, and after getting him to follow the book, Hrithik turned his attention to Bobby Deol. His long-time buddy is the latest recipient of this anti-smoking book. We like this book-club that Duggu has formed. And we have to say that most of the members are smoking hot themselves. What say?

Hrithik Roshan is on the move. His movies are fetching the highest price for satellites. Since its announcement 'Agneepath' is in the news. Karan Johar's marketing skills and Hrithik Roshan's star power has resulted in extraordinary hype around Agneepath.
Within hours of the theatrical launch of the trailer of the film the Filmtrac (audience tracking) and TradeTrac (tracking tradewallahs) saw a major spike. Judging by the tracking data this is just the beginning.
