Here is an interesting news bite. When Salman Khan was busy taking a dig at Shahrukh Khan over his detention in the US, his girlfriend Katrina Kaif took extra effort to get close to Shahrukh.

The news is doing the rounds that Shahrukh bumped into Katrina on his way from London to Mumbai after his infamous detention in the US. Sources said that Katrina left for Shahrukh as soon as the plane took off. Shahrukh being a thorough gentleman offered his seat to her and they chatted away.

It is said that Shahrukh shared mainly his experiences in the USA and UK. They were engrossed in conversation throughout the journey and Katrina went back to her seat only when the plane was about to land in Mumbai.

It maybe recalled that Salman and Shahrukh have not met since they got into a brawl last year at Katrina's birthday party. Commenting on the recent detention of Shahrukh at the Newark Airport, Salman said that it was not a big deal.

Now, we don't what Salman has to say on Katrina's brush with Shahrukh!

Bollywood comes together to pay a tribute to the king of Pop MJ in a video, which will be shown on Michael Jackson’s birthday on August 29. Shahrukh Khan happens to be the one to come up with this idea.

Jackson, who has been an all time favourite of many dancers, musicians and technicians, has always motivated them by his singing and dancing. The title of the song is, “We lived in his world”, as told by Vishal Dadlani.

According to sources, when the creative heads in Red Chilles came up with this concept Shahrukh Khan fell for it immediately as he was always an ardent fan of MJ. King was even supposed to attend one of the MJ’s London concerts, which never happened. He happened to even cry on learning about the pop star’s death.

So, the idea was finalized and they decided to make a music video as a tribute. Vishal of the Vishal-Shekhar duo was selected for the song. Vishal is a huge fan too, and he was in shock for days when he learnt about MJ’s death. He wrote the song and the music is given by the duo.

Singers like Kay Kay, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Goshal, and others will also be performing in the video. The video will have heartfelt messages by top stars like Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan , Prabhu Deva, Shahid Kapoor, Harman Baweja , Yuvraj Singh, Katrina Kaif , Kangna Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra, among others.

Samar Khan directs this video. Love for the renowned singer has made the people work for free in the video. The video will be one of its kinds and it has been shot in low lighting and has a unique mood. Remo has choreographed the song.

With Karan Johar formally announcing that his most ambitious venture till date, My Name Is Khan is now moving to 2010, Dulha Mil Gaya would now be the only Shahrukh Khan starrer to release this year after Billu . Smiles Vivek, “No one can plan or control such things. In any case Dulha Mil Gaya is an event film and with Shahrukh Khan making his appearance with the film this year, it would only make it worthy enough for double the celebrations. Come, join the party with your families once we bring our ‘dulha’ on-screen. Trust me; it would be a welcome relief for you after listening to all the ‘kamineys’ and the ‘kambakkths’ this year!”
There has been some flip-flop around the release of Dulha Mil Gaya in the recent times with the film now being moved from September to November. Now 13th November is the chosen date for the release of Dulha Mil Gaya that stars Shahrukh Khan, Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan in principal roles.

“There was so much of clutter in September and October”, reasons Viveck, “It made sense to bring Dulha Mil Gaya in November as I see some sanity coming in the release calendar.”
A few weeks back, it was reported that a Dubai based businessman picked up the film after he visited Vivek Vaswani with bag full of money. “All of this has been nothing but a figment of imagination of some minds who are just on some mischief or other. As and when I sell my film, I would make the announcement in the right manner. Currently the postproduction of the film is in full swing and I want to concentrate well on that task”, he adds.

He confirms though that this time around there won’t be any further change in date. “This is the final release date for the film and we are sticking to it”, announces Vivek , “We are getting our entire promotional plan in place for the film now. Come September and we would begin painting the town red with Dulha Mil Gaya.”

It is common knowledge that Shahrukh Khan will make a guest appearance in Dulha Mil Gaya, produced by close friend, Vivek Vaswani. But did you know his guest appearance lasts for an hour in the two and half hour film? The buzz is that Shahrukh is not happy with his role getting extended so much so that he didn’t want to complete shooting for the film.

However, producer Vivek Vaswani has rubbished these reports and informed that they have not added or subtracted any scenes with Shahrukh. Whatever was narrated to him has been filmed. He has 17 scenes and three songs. One of the music videos is yet to be shot with the entire cast.

Since Shahrukh is doing Dulha Mil Gaya as a favour for a friend, he is being credited as a guest appearance. Vaswani also thinks that getting credited as a guest appearance does not depend on the length of the role. He gives the example of Sunny Deol in Damini. Similarly, he feels that while Shahrukh is not part of the main cast, his role is equally powerful as that of the others.

Shahrukh Khan will be seen promoting the film along with the other cast members.

Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are likely to act together again if the latest news is to be believed. The grapevine is abuzz with the news that the ever reclusive Aditya Chopra is planning to make Dhoom 3 with Hrithik and Shahrukh.

It is said that Aditya has offered a role to Shahrukh, who just can't say no to him. Hrithik too is said to be keen on acting in the film in spite of his busy schedule. It is also said that Aditya, who has stopped directing of late, would direct Dhoom 3 if Shahrukh and Hrithik give the nod.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan will play the character he played in the earlier two films. Uday Chopra will also play the same character he did in the earlier series.

As time draws near for the Information and Broadcasting Ministry Ambika Soni to announce the winners of the National Awards for 2007, news erupted that Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan are in the contention for the Best Actor Award.

It is said that Shahrukh has been nominated for his role in the film Chak De Indiawhile Aamir has been nominated for his performance in Taare Zameen Par. Meanwhile, Aamir's film Taare Zameen Par is also running for the Best Film award. Another news is doing the rounds that Darsheel Safari is being considered for the Best child actor award for his role as the dyslexic Ishaan Awasthi in Taare Zameen Par.

Shahrukh's film Om Shanti Omhas been nominated for the best feature film. It maybe recalled that Aamir won this award in 2001 for his film Lagaan. But both the actors have not won the prestigious National Award in spite of bringing out many hits.

I&B Minister Ambika Soni is expected to announce the National Awards winners next week and President Pratibha Patil will confer the awards in October.

If all goes on well, Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan will don a role that he has not done so far. He is going to play a lawyer in his forthcoming film Jolly LLB, and it is expected to go to the floors next year.

The film will be produced by Shahrukh's Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Rakesh Upadhyay. This film based on a lawyer's life will expose the judiciary and Subhash Kapoor will direct it. He had earlier directed film Say Salaam India.

Subhash Kapoor revealed that Jolly LLB would take on the pros and cons of the judicial system. He added that the discussion on the film with Shahrukh went beyond two hours though the actor gave them just 45 minutes. Shahrukh felt in love with the script of the film.

Rakesh Upadhyay said that talks are on to work with Shahrukh's production house for a long time. He added that it's too early to say anything and that they would make formal announcement if anything good happens.

Washington, (ANI): Bollywood star Salman Khan who is scheduled to go to USA early next month reportedly cancelled his visit on Friday.

According to sources Khan decision comes in the wake of the humiliation faced by Shahrukh Khan at Newark Airport. Salman is scheduled to partake in a promotional event of his upcoming movie Wanted besides participating in an auction of his personal paintings to raise funds for charity.

Khan's decision was also propelled by the hard time being given by the US Consulate in Mumbai in approving the visa of his associates, including one of his family members, whom Salman wanted to bring along with on the promotional trip, sources said. Besides Khan, producer Boney Kapoor , Bollywood star Sridevi and Prabhu Deva were also scheduled to attend the promotional event.

Following the Shahrukh Khan episode, which attracted a lot of media publicity both in India and the US, there is a sense of reluctance among local promoters and organisers of Bollywood events to risk inviting stars, sources added.

Khan's decision has put a bug question mark before the promoters and also local organisers in cities like Chicago , Houston and Dallas who have invested a lot of effort and money in organising these events.

Choreographer turned director Farah Khan is getting into television. She is going to host the chat show called Tere Mere Beach Mein. As if that's not enough, she now wants to turn a mediator. Yes, she wants to make Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan friends again.

Farah Khan feels that the fight between Salman and Shahrukh has been dragged for too long. She said that she wants to bridge the gap between them, as she loves both of them.

Interestingly, she is bringing both the actors to her show Tere Mere Beach Mein but they won't meet each other. Salman along with his mother Salma will be Farah's first celebrity guests. On the other hand, Shahrukh will appear in the final episode.

Farah said that they decided to make Salman as the first guest, as he had not been to any chat show. She added that they decided to feature Shahrukh at the end of the show to keep the audience hooked till the end.

Well, it maybe recalled that Salman and Shahrukh have been not in talking terms for quite sometime now. Their relationship worsened after getting into a public fight at Katrina Kaif's birthday last year.

Making a living as King Khan’s look-alike hasn’t been easy for Raju Rahikwar. He has made a documentary on it called, Living in King Khan’s Shadow. The 24 minute documentary is almost done except for a quote from Shahrukh Khan . Raju has tried hard to contact Shahrukh, but his efforts have been in vain.

Raju wants the world to know how he has come up in life. He just wants two minutes from Shahrukh, for that will complete his documentary. He reminisces on meeting the star many time s and one time when he spoke to him at Holy Family Hospital in Bandra. He remembers Shahrukh being very humble. He had given Raju his office number and asked him to drop by. But Raju couldn’t.

He is sure that Shahrukh will meet him when he knows it is Raju trying to contact him.

The grapevine is abuzz with the news that Katrina Kaif is romancing Shahrukh Khan in a new film to be directed by the ever elusive Aditya Chopra. Katrina is miffed at the news, not because Shahrukh is her boyfriend Salman Khan's enemy but because there is no truth in it.

Katrina said that she might be doing films under Aditya Chopra 's production house Yash Raj Films but the news of Aditya directing them is just another rumour. She is close to Shahrukh in spite of the fight between Salman and him on her last birthday.

It may be recalled that Salman's relationship with Shahrukh is deteriorating every passing day. In fact, it has almost reached a point of no return, as they keep digging at each other on various issues. So, will Salman allow his ladylove to romance his enemy? This is a big question indeed!

Shahrukh Khan is busy both on and off the field. He may not be as good in cricket as in acting but he surely knows a thing or two about the game , as he owns the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. These days he is busy looking out for the coach of his team.

Shahrukh revealed that the management would take another 3 to 4 meetings before deciding the coach of the team. He added that they would decide on the coach this month. However, he ruled out John Wright to be the coach. He said that there are lots of people running for the post.

Following the poor show of Kolkata Knight Riders in the last two seasons, the pressure must be weighing on Shahrukh like never before.

So what's the actual price of My Name is Khan? Has Fox Star Studios India paid a massive Rs.100 crores for the global rights of the film (excluding music rights)? Or is the actual price Rs.81 crores? The speculation continues...

"It's a privilege to be associated with Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan . It can't get bigger than that. But the price is completely not 100 crores or 81 crores. I wouldn't like to reveal the exact numbers, but it's completely off the mark," Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios India, breaks his silence on this topic.

But what holds significance is that the film in question would be released extensively in the international markets. "My Name is Khan has tremendous international appeal and would be released by Fox Searchlight in America and 20th Century Fox across the globe. We aren't looking at a fancy print count to begin with, but we would take it beyond the Indian diaspora. Like Slumdog Millionaire was released at a mere 10 screens when it started out in America, but the screen count gradually rose to almost 3,000, thanks to a systematic strategy. That would be the strategy for My Name is Khan as well," Vijay Singh divulges.

Everybody knows that filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Shahrukh Khan get along like a house on fire but very few know that Karan has been designing for Shahrukh for the last 12 years. Now, Karan is starting his own clothing line. For this, he will rope in the actor and his wife Gauri Khan .

It seems Karan Johar is not satisfied with his career as a film direction and production. Now, he is set to turn designer. He confirmed that he is launching his own clothing line with Varun Bahl. He said that it comes natural for Shahrukh to be part of his first collection, as he has been designing for him for 12 years.

Karan revealed that it would be a menswear collection with many surprise elements. He added that he didn't want to speak more on it, as he is still in the process of finalising. The clothing line will be called Karan Johar with Varun Bahl.

Watch out for show stopper Shahrukh Khan !

Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan avoid each other in all the social gatherings but might soon be seen together in the upcoming reality show Dance Premier League. The format of the show is such that teams from different zones will participate and Bollywood stars will cheer their respective teams. Salman and Shahrukh are expected to cheer for their teams and if their teams clash both of them might have to make a joint appearance in the show.

The producers of the show however remain tight lipped about it although a many Bollywood stars are expected to be a part of it. They neither confirm or deny the participation of Salman and Shahrukh in the show. Katrina Kaif , Bipasha Basu , Kareena Kapoor and Prabhudeva are already on board. Well if Salman and Shahrukh do participate and their respective teams clash it will be the mother of all chashes on reality television.
