Bollywood actress Preity Zinta celebrates her 36th birthday today. She is not from film background but forayed into Bollywood through Dil Se in 1998 after graduating in Criminal Psychology. There was no stopping for this bubbly actress after tasting the Bollywood waters.
Preity has acted in over 30 films till date. Some of her hit films include Soldier, Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega, Mission Kashmir, Dil Chahta Hai, Koi Mil Gaya, Kal Ho Na Ho, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Heroes and others. And she gone beyond films to entertain the public. Yes, being the owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab, she is entertaining the masses in the form cricket, which is like religion in India.

Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta switch their attire. Well! We are talking about the 56th Filmfare award night where Rani Mukherjee who always preferred her Indian wears was seen wearing a purple western wear. Whereas, Preity who always dressed in gowns and western wears was seen wearing a read Manish Malhotra saree.
Both actress looked stunning in the exchange of wear that they had done. While, Rani had lost a few pounds suiting her sleak gown, Preity had gained some pounds to match up the Indian attire.
Rani was recently seen in the film No One Killed Jessica, Preity had been missing on-sreen. However, the girl this year is making a television debut with the show Guinness World Records Ab Todega India.

| Preity's 'spa'cial birthday outing with friends

Preity Zinta celebrated her birthday (January 31) with close friends. She spent the day with four of her close friends at a Maldives resort. The spa and resort is characterised by its remoteness and its No-News-No-Shoes theme, which means the spa members stay barefoot during the entirety of their stay there.
Says a source, "Accompanied by four friends, Preity went to the Soneva Fushi spa on the morning of January 30. That afternoon, she visited the spa for a head massage and facial and then had an Italian-style dinner and was served a special sticky chocolate cake ahead of her birthday. She was to return on February 2 but loved her experience so much that she extended her stay by a couple of days. PZ had booked a beachfront duplex villa with a swimming pool for her friends and herself stayed at the two-bedroom Crusoe Suite in the villa."
The source adds that the actress went scuba diving in the house reef almost everyday. "On her birthday, she had a special vegetarian dinner at Fresh In The Garden. She loved the concept and the food, where lunch is served from organic-grown island produce, Maldivian seafood, fruit and vegetables. For dessert, Preity was served a special walnut sponge cake she had specifically requested for. She later told the chef that "the birthday dinner was perfect'."
The next day, she went for a cocktail party on the Sand Bank (on the beach), which was for all guests of the resort. Special Lebanese food, with lots of candles, gave off a warm glow.
PZ stayed on the sandbank till midnight. The source says that another reason Preity extended her stay was because of the heavy rains on the island, as she couldn't go out as much as she wanted to.
KV Modi of the parent company that owns the spa, says, "Preity is one of our favourite guests and we are thrilled that she chose to spend her birthday at our resort."

| Preity Zinta-Shiney Ahuja’s Har Pall halts again

Preity Zinta-Shiney Ahuja"s long-pending project Har Pall has been delayed again. The final schedule of the shooting, which was supposed to start by this month end, has been reportedly postponed again after the production house received from the right-wing groups.
Har Pall beganed his principal photography in 2007. The following year, the movie started its first phase of the shoot. By the time, the movie was on the verge of completion, Shiney Ahuja was arrested for allegedly raping his maid, which brought the movie to a standstill.
Since then, it has been delayed for various reasons. Now, the latest we hear is that Mumbai based right-wing groups have threatened the production house to drop the project. Else, they would not allow a rapist"s movie to release, claims report.

The media reported every little thing that took place between actress Preity Zinta and the then captain of her IPL team, Kings XI Punjab – from the warm hugs after every win to the chitchats off the field. It was rumoured that they were seeing each other. But now that Yuvi has left her team for Pune Warriors India, Preity has opened up on their alleged relationship. She said that the link-up zapped her.
Preity admitted that she missed each player of her team from Yuvraj to Kumar Sangakkara to Mahela Jayawardene because she has built a deep bond with them over the past three years. However, she said that the constant link-up with Yuvraj zapped her because nothing really happened between them as speculated. Yuvi is also upset with all the rumours. He tweeted, “U want a comment I'll give you one ! Absolutely ridiculous ! Stop linking me to everyone or anyone!"
Well, nothing might be brewing between Preity and Yuvi but they will certainly miss each other like no one else this IPL season – Preity will miss Yuvi's sixes and the latter will miss the former's hugs!

| Preity Zinta to make comeback with Jai Ramji

Actress Preity Zinta, who is presently busy with her television reality show 'Guinness Book Of World Records-Ab India Todega' and the on-going IPL matches, is also gearing up for her come back in Bollywood.
The actress will be playing a gangster in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Jai Ramji. The film will have a back drop of Uttar Pradesh. Preity has given a nod after listening to the script of Jai Ramji, however she has not yet signed the dotted lines.
The film will also star actor Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan and Randeep Hooda, who will also play a gangster in the film and will be a part of Preity Zinta's gang. Jai Ramji will go on floors in July and will be wrapped by the end of this year.

Some things are better best forgotten. The once lovebirds, Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and businessman Ness Wadia, turned foes after a bitter break up two years ago. They had been keeping distance from each other ever since they parted ways, but the story seems to have changed off late. The news has it that they have patched up.
It is said that the once happening couple have turned friends again; and the IPL team Kings XI Punjab, which they co-own, seems to have played the catalyst. They have been mixing and enjoying each other's company of late. It is said that they were even spotted partying together and hanging around with their common friends.
It may be recalled that Preity and Ness had an ugly break up two years ago after seeing each other for a few years. They were supposed to announce their break up together but everything was blown out of proportion after Preity leaked it to her friends.
Well, it's good that the duo has decided to bury the hatches and turn friends once again!

There cannot be smoke without fire. Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and Australian speedster Brett Lee have been denying having any relationship all this while but they seem to be finding tough to stay away from each other. The latest we hear is that they had a secret night-out a couple of days ago.
Sources said that Preity and Lee were spotted together at Olive on Tuesday night (May 24). To their surprise, paparazzi had gathered at the restaurant by the time they were ready to leave after spending a couple of hours together. However, the duo apparently took to their heels when the restaurant authorities informed them of the presence of the paparazzi. Brett Lee came out of the main entrance while Preity escaped from the back door.
Well, what puzzles everyone is – why did they try to keep away from the paparazzi by leaving the restaurant separately if they are just good friends? Only the duo can answer this!

| “No one has adopted me” - Preity Zinta

Enough is enough. Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is tired of all the reports and speculations around her and Shandar Amrohi, eldest son of legendary filmmaker Kamal Amrohi. Shandar called her his daughter but she said that no one can ever take the place of her father in her life.
“4 (for) the final time I would like to say NO ONE HAS ADOPTED ME OR WRITTEN A WILL 4 (for) ME ! I helped Mr. Shandar Amrohi in his time of need ! He is a very nice man but NO ONE can EVER take the place of my Father in my life. I am not off the street that I need someone else's wealth!” she posted on her Twitter page.
Preity is also not happy with the way the media fabricated the whole issue and has threatened to take legal action on journos who write false stories. “I will request journalists 2 not resort 2 write stories about someone else wanting to be my DAD; He is NO MORE so pls (please) have some respect ! Otherwise I will have no option but 2 resort 2 Legal Means! Journalists prefer Gossip over facts & this is disgusting & unacceptable by me.” she tweeted.
The actress is also planning to take legal action on journalists who wrote false stories about her. “On a positive side I have a collection of completely false articles over the years from so called respectable publications that I will put together in a Book wid a complete profile of da journalist with photos! This will be Poetic Justice & A Journalists hall of shame :-) Ting !” she added.
It may be recalled that Shandar Amrohi, eldest son of filmmaker Kamal Amrohi, had filed a case against his sister Rukhsar and her son Waseem for trying to falsely pledge his shares in Mahal Pictures Pvt Ltd. (company that owns Kamaal Amrohi studio). And it was Preity, who helped Shandar in registering a case. She even tweeted on how tough it is to file an FIR.

Actress Preity Zinta is not comfortable with the people who want to be her dad. It was recently reported that Shandar Amrohi, the son of veteran filmmaker Kamal Amrohi, had called her his daughter. Now the Bollywood actress has threatened to take legal action against such reports.
Recently, Preity Zinta took to her Twitter page to express her disappointment about the report. She even expressed her displeasure to journalists on Twitter by adding, “I will request journalists 2 not resort 2 write stories about someone else wanting to be my DAD; He is NO MORE so pls have some respect!”
Meanwhile, the actress, who calls herself a 'self made' person, has threatened to take legal action if there are similar issues in the future. Preity tweeted, “Otherwise I will have no option but 2 resort 2 Legal Means! Journalists prefer Gossip over facts & this is disgusting & unaccaptable by me.”
Meanwhile, Actress Preity Zinta has decided to come back to the film industry after taking a break for a long season of IPL. She wrote, “IPL 2011 is finally over ! Phew ! Congrats CSK ! Dhoni does it again ! Time to Move on to Movies but before that, Am happy to take a break!”

| Preity Zinta to attempt for Guinness World Records

The channel Colors has already announced the second season of 'Guinness World Records — Ab India Todega'. Actress Preity Zinta will be back on the show with the second season in the year 2012. The actress has a tight schedule for this year and promises to make the show next year.
'Guinness World Records — Ab India Todega' was a one hour show, which saw over 70 records being attempted by Indians. The show garnered high TRP and was a success. Preity plans to attempt for a Guinness World Record in the next season of the show. She says that she wanted to perform it this season, but was not possible.
Preity also informs that there are a few more television shows in pipeline for her. When asked about the launch of her own TV reality show 'Behind The Seams' that she was producing and hosting, the actress replied that the concept will take a few more years to take its form. She assures that the show will definitely be on air.

The news of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy has created confusion among the makers of her forthcoming films, and one of those is Rajkumar Santoshi's film, Ladies and Gentlemen, which has Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role. Now, we hear that Preity Zinta would step into Aishwarya's shoes.
The grapevine is abuzz with the news that top actresses like Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have been considered for the female lead role. But sources said that Abhishek's good friend Preity has been approached to play the role supposed to be played by Aishwarya.
Rajkumar Santoshi refused to reveal on Aishwarya's replacement but confirmed that the actress would

The mere difference in the years of experience in the industry between these two actors calls for respect from Preity Zinta for Anil Kapoor. The latter was in his talkative best on this week's episode of Up, Close and Personal with PZ as he was on a spree of revealing one secret after the other. But what he wasn't prepared for was the strange remarks of Preity on Anil's career. Preity went on to tell Anil that he works in such big banner movies but what is sad to see is that he is barely seen in those movies. The gentleman that he is he took the remark in his stride and moved on to talk about other things.
On the lighter side, Preity quizzed Anil on his immense popularity and his Jhakaas style of acting that he is most known for. A father of three, Anil confessed that he doesn't give advice to his kids especially Sonam as he likes them to learn things with their own experience. Also speaking on his international endeavors he said that he's currently a newcomer in Hollywood and is sure that he will eventually make it big there.
Striking the humor chord, in the impromptu scene act Anil played the role of a sleazy and desperate fan who is on seated next to a Bollywood superstar in an airplane.
