Just before the release of Dil Bole Hadippa, Rani Mukherjee was everywhere. She came out of the cocoon after keeping silent for a long time to promote her much-awaited film. But she is nowhere to be seen after the release of the film. Has she gone hiding?

It is said that Dil Bole Hadippa failed to make a very good opening in spite of the rave reviews it got from the media. Her fans love the film and her performance but Salman Khan’s film Wanted seems to have over taken it at the box-office.

The prospect of Dil Bole Hadippa is not very bright with Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee? releasing today. However, it would pick up again if What’s Your Raashee? fails at the box office.

Rani has to keep her fingers crossed!

Nothing much has been heard about Rani Mukherjee after the release of Dil Bole Hadippa. She has hit the headlines again by speaking about the elusive filmmaker Aditya Chopra, who is rumoured to be having affair with her.

Rani admitted that she has a very special relationship with Aditya Chopra. She admitted that she admires and respects him. It was he, who spotted her in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat and recommended her to Karan Johar for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and has faith in her.

So, is she disturbed by the speculations on her love life? She said that she is not bothered by rumours, as she is enjoying her work. She added that she is in a very happy frame of mine at the moment.

Rani assured that she would announce to the world when she is ready to tie the knot. She said that she is not a kind of person to hide marriage.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and one of his favourite muses, Rani Mukherjee, have had a fallout and have completely stopped communicating with each other. And it all happened because of her last release Dil Bole Hadippa.

Rani (who earned accolades for her role in Bhansali's Black) has always been like an extended family member at the Bhansali home. Not only was she close to Sanjay but also his mom and his sister Bela Sehgal. So when Bela decided to direct a film, it was certain that the actress would feature in it.

Says a source, "Soon after she came on board, they had differences. The main one being Bela wanting to cast Shahid Kapoor opposite her. The actress shot it down because she felt he looked much younger than her. Things soured when, shortly after, Rani went on to sign Dil Bole Hadippa with Yash Raj Films' with Shahid Kapoor!"

Yet, Bela and Bhansali decided to give Rani another chance as they felt she must've had her reasons. The source continues, "The last straw came when Bela and Bhansali saw that the Rani-Shahid film had the title of Hadippa. Rani was part of many discussions on the film and she was aware that Bela's heart was set on that title, which was also registered in her name."

The Bhansali siblings felt that Rani had deliberately suggested that title to YRF. When Sanjay confronted the actress, she cried and pleaded ignorance but the damage was done. As Bhansali refused to give up the title of Hadippa; YRF put Dil Bole in front of Hadippa as a token gesture.

A source close to the director says, "Both brother and sister feel very let down by Rani. Things are not the same between the actress and them. Time will heal wounds and maybe Sanjay will work with Rani in the future. But right now, the wounds are still fresh and they need to heal."

Rani Mukherjee remained unavailable for comment.

Rani Mukherjee certainly deserves better treatment. She is like anyone of us but for the name and fame. She is happy with the accolades she has received for her performance in Dil Bole Hadippa though it didn't do very well at the box-office but the false stories about like marriage has upset her.

Rani said that she felt funny and strange when some idle brains start stories about her marriage to a certain person (Aditya Chopra). She added that the rumours of her marriage has become like a relay race, as the media keep passing it to one another over the last three years.

The talented actress has made it loud and clear this time around by proclaiming at the top of her voice that she is single. She said that she hasn't thought of marriage and would settle down when she finds Mr. Right. She added that she is busy with films at the moment and would marry when she is ready.

Now, Rani has put an end to all the rumours!

Rani Mukherjee hasn’t been keeping too well lately. She has been suffering from a sore throat and a runny nose. However, being a professional, she still decided to come to shoot for Dance Premiere League at RK Studios.

Dressed in a sari, she sneezed and sneezed until choreographer Shiamak Davar, who is a judge on the show as well, got uneasy because of the number of retakes that had to be taken every time Rani sneezed. He then offered her medication and even ordered some tea and a blanket for her. The show stopped shooting until Rani felt better.

Rani Mukherjee, the queen of DPL (Dance Premiere League) was recently in a hurry. Well the actress wanted to attend Shilpa Shetty’s wedding reception which took place yesterday but unfortunately the same day, she had to shoot for the show too. “When yesterday Rani reported on sets; she seemed to be in lot of hurry. When asked she replied, that she wants to attend the reception of Shilpa Shetty,” utters the khabroo from the sets.

Elaborating on the incident, our source adds, “She was heard requesting to everyone to wind up shooting. Everyone agreed to her plea and finished the shooting on time. She too gave her 100 percent for the shoot and winded up the shoot and rushed for the wedding.”

“Though she was late but completed her job and was not at all nasty. She did not interfere when the shooting started and was calmingly giving her comments. At the end she thanked everyone and left for the occasion,” concludes the source. Rani did take care of her praja very well…No wonder why she has been crowned as a queen of DPL, isn’t it?

Rani Mukherjee has crossed the last hurdle in her love affair with producer Aditya Chopra. Aditya's mother Pamela Chopra who was averse to their relationship finally seems to have given a green signal. Pamela wasn't too happy with Rani and always maintained distance from her. At a recent awards ceremony where Rani approached Yash and Pamela, bowed to seek their blessings after she had completed her performance on-stage.

Aditya's father Yash Chopra has shared a cordial relationship with Rani who has been a regular feature in Yash Raj Films' movies. However, both Yash and Pamela still share a great relationship with Aditya's ex wife Payal who frequently visits YRF Studios. Payal and Aditya seem to have accepted their separation and are back on talking terms now.

Pamela has been softening gradually and finally seems to be giving in to her son's choice for his happiness. Source close to the Chopra family says that it was only a matter of time before she gave her blessings to Rani. There were rumours that Rani and Aditya were planning to tie the knot in December 2009 but now it sees wedding bell isn't far away for the couple.

Rani Mukherjee, who has been working only with Yash Raj Films for a while now, seeing as all her last few releases, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and Dil Bole Hadippa, were under the YRF banner, is finally ready to work with other banners.

She will be doing an important role in No One Killed Jessica, produced by UTV. Vidya Balan will be a part of the film too, playing Sabrina Lall, Jessica’s sister. Rani’s role in the film will be that of the journalist who brought the Jessica Lall case back to notice. The film will shot in New Delhi and will be a thriller, exactly why Rani has agreed to do it in the first place. It will be directed by Rajkumar Gupta (the director of Aamir).

Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV is overjoyed to have both Rani and Vidya on board. The actresses will get a lot of scope in this movie.

Till yesterday, she was the queen bee of the Box-Office. A few unfortunate Fridays and she was almost out of the rat race. Not just that, she also got slotted as an 'exclusive' YRF heroine. No prizes for guessing that we are referring to the one and original Rani Mukherjee, who now seems all set to be back with a bang.

Even though her last few of releases didn't quite work at the BO, Rani seems ready for a comeback and has signed up for an important role in UTV Spotboy's No One Killed Jessica, which also stars Vidya Balan, and is directed by Rajkumar 'Aamir' Gupta. The film, which has its music composed by the Amit Trivedi, is expected to go on the floors in February. Talking about the film, Vikas Bahl, Chief Creative Officer, UTV Motion Pictures said, "It's our pleasure to announce that Rani along with Vidya has also agreed to be a part of a story we really want to tell. When you have actors like Rani and Vidya by your side, the joy of creating characters that can shake the audience and leave an impact for time to come is immense. No One killed Jessica is one of our very cherished projects and it has scaled up to the level it deserved to, thanks to Rani and Vidya becoming a part of it."

For starters, No One Killed Jessica is a fast paced thriller set in the hub of political power, New Delhi. It is the story of two women and their relentless pursuit of justice that mobilizes an entire nation to prove that in democracy there is no greater power than the power of the people. It'll definitely be interesting to see Rani and Vidya in the same frame that too in a film dealing with such a serious subject.

Had Rani Mukherjee not played a mother of two kids in Yash Raj Films’ Ta Ra Rum Pum three years ago? She did. So it came as a surprise when she opted out of Deepa Mehta's film, an adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s masterpiece novel Midnight’s Children, just because she had to play the role of a mother.

The news is doing the rounds that Rani turned down the film, as she is not ready for motherhood in reel life. Mehta confirmed that Rani is no longer in her film but said there is no kid in the film, who is 14 years old, as reported in the media. She however said that the character required to play a mother.

Rani had earlier expressed her excitement over working with Mehta and had even met her and Rushdie in Toronto for the film. Mehta had also said that she loved Rani's performance in the films like Ram, Black, Bunty Aur Babli and Veer-Zaara. However, the duo is not going to work together now.

Mehta said that Rani opted out of her film not because of the mother role but for personal reasons. She added that she couldn't disclose the reason for the turn down, as it is confidential between a director and an actor. She also said that she has great regards for her and respect her decision.

Another bad news is that Vidya Balan, who is supposed to play Rani's sister in the film, has not given the nod yet.

It seems actress Rani Mukherjee, who was once the undisputed queen of Bollywood, is desperately trying to belt out a hit film. Her last film Dil Bole Hadippa failed in spite of all the hype and hoopla created by her bikini act and weight loss. Now, she seems to be interested in working with Junaid Khan.

But who is Junaid Khan anyway? He is Aamir Khan's son. It is said that Rani Mukherjee is looking forward to work with this tall and handsome young lad. It maybe recalled that she worked with Aamir in her second film Ghulam, which was released in 1997.

Is Rani trying to turn to younger actors to regain her past glory?

Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee Friday lent a helping hand to her actress aunt Debasree Roy to save stray dogs in the city.

The Bollywood beauty was in town for the official launch of the website of a non-profit organisation run by Debasree.

"My aunt (Debasree Roy) used to get ridiculed for loving dogs. I do support her cause," Rani said.

"You all should support her in her endeavour," Rani told mediapersons after the launch at a city five-star hotel.

Debasree Roy Foundation is primarily dedicated to promoting the cause of birds and animals suffering from lack of care and needless suffering.

The wedding bells are ringing again for the Queen Bee of Bollywood. But well, it’s not music to Rani Mukerji’s ears anymore.

From sources, we got whiff of her wedding plans, ‘supposedly’ sometime in November, with celebrations commencing with the traditional Mukerji family Durga Puja in October. Of course, this time again Rani didn’t seem amused at all, in fact, quite exasperated by the shaadi story. She’s annoyed about her ‘wedding date’ that’s splashed in the media like breaking news, every few months. In fact, her concern was that when she’s actually ready to take the vows, no one will believe her. Well Rani, believe it or not, just scream shaadi, and in a ‘flash’ the baraat will be there for you. August 23, 2010 , Once Bollywood queen Rani Mukherjee has captured the headlines most of the time for her alleged relationship with filmmaker Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj films. Now, again the news has come up that the actress is going to tie the knot in this November.

The rumor might have irritated Rani but it has again ignited the curious minds and everybody wants to know the name of the lucky man. Considering her alleged year long relationship with Aditya, the name is at the top in the list. Even the date is said to be finalized, the Mukherjee family has not disclosed it yet. It is expected to be announced after performing the traditional Mukherjee family ‘Durga Puja’, which will take place in the month of October. So, there is a strong speculation that the date will be somewhere around November.

Both Aditya and Rani have maintained their denial mode regarding their much talked relationship. It is even said that Aditya divorced his first wife to legalize his relationship with this Bong beauty.

Coming to her career in Bollywood, it does not seem to be taking any brighter turn in near future so it is the best time for the actress to settle down in personal life. Aditya attempted to re-create the magic of Rani with her latest film Dil Bole Hadippa opposite much younger hero Shahid Kapoor. She lost some kilos to look younger and match up with Shahid but nothing worked. The film did not do well at the box office and Rani’s Bollywood career got almost ruined.

However, if the marriage happens in reality and if the guy is Aditya, Rani can expect another boost from the Chopras!

Manish Malhotra’s show last night was a complete star studded affair as expected. The front row was flooded with Bollywood’s well known faces to the extent that Ameesha Patel had to literally squeeze in herself amongst Sangita Bijlani, Sameera Reddy, Sophie Chowdhury, Urmila Matondkar, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha and mum Poonam Sinha! Phew....

The highlight of the evening barring the gorgeous festive Indian evening wear presented by Manish was the camaraderie that Preity and Rani shared!

Ironically, Preity herself had once said in her interviews, “The media is responsible for making Rani and I look like Siamese twins after we did the song Piya Piya which is not true. We are not enemies but nor are we close buddies!”

Rubbishing her own claims, Preity walked hand in hand with Rani, posed for the media together and then sat together only to giggle and chit chatter throughout the show with her other ‘siamese twin’. Giving company to two chatter boxes was Priyanka Chopra who just won’t stop chatting with her fellow stars! The trio only focussed on the ramp when Manish took to it.

While Rani and Priyanka wore black short dresses, Preity chose pink.

Another eye grabbing scene of the evening was Aarti Surendranath using crutches to walk. After Diana Hayden, it was Aarti who seemed to have hurt the foot yet the one to have made it at the LFW’2010.

The show beautifully opened with a full circle blue tiered lehenga with a striking red velvet border and choli that a model sported.

One wondered why Manish chose well known model Candice Pinto over any Bollywood stars as showstopper but the designer just kept his promise he made last season that he won’t have Bollywood stars as showstoppers any more as the focus would be fashion.
