J.W. Marriot yesterday on 11th February, 2009 saw the curtain raising ceremony for the third season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Jhalak Dikhla Jaa which has been quite popular amongst the Indian viewers are back with their third reality show promising bigger and better this time.

The show kick started with Shweta Tiwari, being the host and looked and sounded quite unusual from her daily soap look. No doubt she was looking amazing but her hosting was no less than in a bubbly-chubbly manner. She acted as a child entertaining and making people make at her jokes.

One by one the participants with their respective choreographers performed on stage, each better than the best. Each and every participant are masters in their respective fields. To start with is the well known veteran cricketer, commenter, and cricket analyst Mohinder Amarnath (with Lilian), actor Ram Kapoor (with Marischa), the gorgeous super model Gauhar Khan (with Hanif), television heartthrob Karan Singh Grover (with Nicole), silver screen popular actress Bhagyashree (with Toby), magician Ugesh Sarcar (with Tina), the starlet Monica Bedi (with Javed), the Chak De girl Shilpa Shukla (with Nishant), musician Anand Raj Anand (with Rozita), the Bidaai girl Parul Chauhan (with Deepak) and the Punjabi Indian rapper Hard Kaur (with Savio).

It is all woman panels of judges this year with the dynamic dance guru, Saroj Khan, the chirpy bollywood beauty, Juhi Chawla and the passionate choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant. Although except Juhi none of the judges could make it to the event. Amongst the participants Parul and Anand Raj Anand were missing in the event. The event was a grand one indeed with the reporters and the cameraman and everyone cheering for the participants performing on various numbers. They indeed gave us a "Jhalak Dikhla Jaa".

After Irrfan Khan and Shreyas Talpade now Juhi Chawla will be seen doing cameo in Red Chillies Idiot Box's Ghar Ki Baat Hai.

Here Juhi will be seen playing herself wherein Juhi Babbar playing Radhika Yagnik along with Kaku played by Swapnil Joshi while sitting in a restaurant will spot film star Juhi Chawla and go to her for advice and take her help in solving her personal matter. It will be worth a watch to see two Juhis in the same frame.

On being contacted the creative director, Bhavana Sresth of 'Ghar Ki Baat Hai' said ''Juhi Chawla is a very spontaneous actress. It was a pleasant experience to have Juhi Chawla making a special appearance in the show. She was very cooperative and played her part perfectly and added the star appeal to the episode which will be telecast on Sunday''

It is now quite clear to one and all what Gautami Kapoor saw in Ram Kapoor when she agreed to marry this tubby man. He is great fun. The man is a complete riot on the sets. For the man who claimed to have two left feet when it comes to dancing was a complete surprise. He did a SRK to the hilt dressed like Suri of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa .

Ram's hard work and dedication was truly admired by "teen deviyaan" and were also generous by giving him some good marks. He even inspired Juhi Chawla to join him on the dance floor and together they did "Banke tera jogi" ... from Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. At the end of it Juhi exclaimed: "Punjab Power has lit our lives." Must say Juhi does come up with some fun one liners.

While Ram had the last word "Everytime something good happens to me, I wake my wife and daughter from their sleep to share my happiness. Tonight i won't let them sleep ... I danced with Juhi Chawla."

Raja Hindustani: This surely was the hottest ever kiss in Aamir's career. A rainy sequence, a young man a young woman under a tree and a huge thunderstorm. Does the situation need to get any better. Aamir and Karisma locked their lips for well over 40 seconds and the movie was one of the biggest hits of the 90s. Pandiraj, the director of critically acclaimed 'Pasanga' has won the Best Director Award, popularly known as 'Golden Elephant Award' at the 16th International Children’s Film Festival held at Hyderabad for his maiden attempt. The film is produced by director Sasikumar (Subramanyapuram, Nadodigal fame) under the banner of Company productions.

Pandiraj and 'Pasanga' truly deserves the award. Popular actress from Bollywood Juhi Chawla presented the award in a ceremony held at Hyderabad. Padiraj says, "This is an unforgettable day in my life. I got the award for best Children Film category. But the film is not only for Children. There is also some message for youth community!"

Earlier, many debut actress like Deepika Padukone and Juhi Chawla appeared in South Indian films and then made their way to B-Town. Now model Nikki, who is a former national beauty pageant winner, is making her film debut in Sandalwood with the movie Mandahasa. She says that she will soon sign her first Bollywood film.

Nikki is originally from Mangalore, but she has spent most of her life in Mumbai. However, Nikki has learned Kannada. She has been communicating producer Basava Reddy and executive producer Veeresh in Kannada for the past three months. She says, "If all goes well, I should dub for my first film.”

The debut actress will appear alongside Josh fame Rakesh and Star Singer contestant Chetan in the Kannada movie Mandahasa. After she won the national beauty contest, she started getting offers, but she determined to start her acting career with a South Indian films. She thinks that there is more creativity in South.

Nikki is planning to rock the Kannada film industry first and then move to Bollywood. Her debut movie Mandahasa is a musical romantic flick, Which is going on the floors today (December 15).

After charming Bollywood and its fans for years, pretty actress Juhi Chawla has headed north and is spreading her charm in the land of farmers - Punjab. Juhi’s Punjabi film Sukhmani- Hope For Life has hit the theatres not just in Punjab but Haryana, Mumbai, Delhi and few cities abroad too.

The actress stars along with superstar Gurdas Maan and apparently that’s not all, as Juhi has a big surprise in store for her fans in the film. She is exploring new territories by lending her vocals to two songs in the film. She has turned professional singer with songs ‘Nanhi Si Gudiya’ and ‘Preeto’.

With her Punjabi songs she is all set to create magic with her beautiful vocals, confirms Gurdas Maan, “I had heard her recitation of Punjabi lines written by Jagjit Singh and I made my wife Manjeet, who has directed the film hear it. Apparently she liked it so much that she wanted Juhi to sing a song for the movie and that is how Juhi ended up singing two of the tracks. Juhi has a beautiful voice.”

What’s more, Gurdas tells us that Juhi always had the knack for singing as he narrates, “I remember when we were shooting for Des Hoyaa Pardes she was staying in the room next to mine. Once early in the morning I heard someone singing and so I asked her whether she heard the voice in the morning and she then replied that it was her who was singing. She is a very dedicated artiste and I have always seen her carrying her Tanpura along everywhere she goes, this even a professional singer might not be doing. She is no less than a professional singer; in future she will shine as a good singer as Juhi is very devoted to her work.”

Looks like Juhi Chawla, who is a big screen star of Bollywood and Punjabi cinema, may soon become a singing star if we go by words of superstar Gurdas Maan.

So, Juhi is a star in making all over again only this time she’ll be singing, not acting.

Though Juhi Chawla has heavily cut down on acting in films, the actress is keeping herself extremely busy with brand endorsements. After having endorsed many FMCGs, sources close to Bollywood Hungama told us that Juhi is now all set to be the brand ambassador of Sidhee Cement. When we called Juhi, she confirmed the news.

Mumbai, Nov 12 : Actress Juhi Chawla will be seen in a different avatar as she lends her voice to the character of 'Sita' in an upcoming animated version of 'Ramayana', reports said.

The film is directed by Ketan Mehta.

Juhi Chawla, who turns 43 on Saturday (Nov 13), will surely have to offer something new to her fans with this voice-over.

She gained massive popularity in B-town with her debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, opposite Aamir Khan, in 1988. Since then, she continued to entertain her fans in films like Darr, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Ishq.

But her versatile talents in acting were highlighted in movies like- Jhankar Beats, My Brother Nikhil and Bas Ek Pal.

Juhi had won the Miss India crown in 1984.

The beauty of Bollywood is married to industrialist Jai Mehta and has two children.

She, along with her husband, also owns Indian Premiere League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), in partnership with her friend and actor Shah Rukh Khan.

Mumbai, April 25 : Juhi Chawla has donned many characters in her more than 20 years' acting career, but she reveals that she is not a method actor and doesn't take her characters back home.

"For acting to be effective, you have to live that moment completely to make it as real as possible. So when I am shooting, I am completely in tune with the character I am playing. But I don't carry that back home or in between shots also as I don't want to be like that character," Juhi told IANS.

The 43-year-old will be soon seen in Onir's film "I AM" slated to hit screens Friday.
