In a candid chat with Anupama Chopra on The Front Row, Salman Khan revealed bits of his personality that have puzzled his fans time and again. And amidst all the talk of tempers and tantrums, Sallu revealed that the frown is the ‘thing’ to watch out for. And it usually appears when he is in an awful mood.
But what really puts him off, we wondered about the million dollar question. “Sometimes when I have a bad cold and I want to be left alone, I say ‘Jao yaar, pakao mat!’ (Please go, don’t bother me!),” Salman said in the interview. He goes on to explain the reason behind such outbursts saying he is just being himself. “I have never been anything else except for myself,” the Dabangg 2 actor said.
What’s more, Salman also thinks that it’s this part of his personality that appeals to his fans. “I think perhaps that they think I am one of their own. I guess I don’t take my stardom too seriously. I think I am one of the guys,” he said. Ah!
That means mundane, trivial things can trigger off Salman’s anger. And while the dude might want to sell it off like one of his USPs, we wonder how the people at the receiving end might feel about it. Any clue about them, Sallu?

The controversial reality show is all set to spice up again! This time the highlight will be the two rivals of Bollywood Salman and Shahrukh Khan.
It so happens that Salman Khan asked Imam Siddique to nominate two people for evictions when Imam took Niketan's name. Knowing that Niketan is the captain of the house and cannot be nominated, Salman asked him to take some other name.
According to a source, “Imam stood by his words and said that he knows Niketan should be out, to which Salman mocked him saying the barometer of what Indian audiences want to watch is set in Imam's eyes. Imam agreed and said, he casted Preity Zinta and Sharukh Khan for ad films that worked very well with the audiences. At this, Salman asked him to play a fair game since he knows the rules”
This irked Imam and he said 'Time Out' to Salman after which Salman Khan lost his cool and asked Imam to be in his limits
The source further added, “He told Imam that he shouldn't try his antics on Salman. He then spoke about Shahrukh Khan saying, SRK is in the industry because of his hard work and the support of his fans. It is because he has pursued his career with determination that he is a big man and not because Imam Siddique has casted him in an advertisement. He also went on to say that it is the same Imam who would send a text in every three days to Salman and beg to be on the show and is now acting up.”
Later Salman spoke about how Imam came out after doing all the 'havaniyat' and was trembling standing in front of Salman when he was re-entering.

Who was Salman Khan spending time with every week on the sets of 'Dabangg 2'. No it ain't any mysterious girl but some mentally challenged kids. The 'Dabanng' Khan specially removed time to meet these kids 2-3 times every week.
As per the sources, these kids used to visit the sets. Salman Khan would leave his schedule aside and spent time with them. "Once there was a child who visited the sets along with his parents. When asked about his favorite actor, the kid replied Aamir Khan. Salman after hearing this asked the kid if he would want to wait and watch him doing an action sequence. The child happily agreed and after the shot was complete, Salman again inquired about his favourite actor. The little one still replied Aamir Khan."
Not sure how Salman would have reacted to this but his dedication towards the social cause is something to be really looked upon. Now that's what you call 'Being Salman'.

The actor, who gave in to a bad case of stage fright recently, says it brought back memories of a similar trauma 24 years ago, when he cried backstage and swore off live shows for a while

You don’t expect Salman Khan to suffer from stage fright. But at a recent awards ceremony, the actor showed signs of nervousness when he took to the stage to host the show. Usually the one who performs to thunderous applause, it is not a role Sallu is accustomed to.
And unfortunately, it showed. He fumbled and made a few bloopers before finally getting his inimitable groove back. It was not an evening he would forget, or forgive. A day later, when a group of mediapersons at a Celebrity League Match in Hyderabad complimented him on the previous night’s entertaining act, Salman laughed but confessed: he had a tough time getting his act together.
Apparently, the audio device attached to his ears, was not functioning properly, said Salman and added he did not get the cues on time, because of some static. In the star’s own words, the incident took him back by a good 24 years, to the heady days of Maine Pyar Kiya when Salman hosted a similar function in Delhi. “I had rehearsed my part.
I made a dashing entry, did a few steps and froze. I had no idea what was going on. Every second felt like an hour,” he said. A devastated Salman then exited with his face covered with his signature Maine Pyar Kiya jacket. “I was an emotional wreck, when Sangita Bijlani came in and assured me that things will be fine.”
A scarred Salman had sworn off stage functions for a while. “When people pay a premium to watch these shows, it is not fair to disappoint them. One cannot be incompetent and not entertain them,” he said.
Thankfully however, Salman swung back in action this time, and his audience did not go home disappointed. And no, there was no girlfriend backstage to calm his jangled nerves. He’s a grown up man now after all!

| Salman Khan launches Being Human store in a hospital!

Do charity and do it directly, suggests actor Salman Khan, who contributes to various social activities through his charitable organisation Being Human. The actor launched a Being Human store in the Fortis hospital, which has clothing line for men and children.
Salman, 47, was present in Gurgaon on Wednesday at the launch of a new campaign The Little Hearts, which aims at curing 500 children suffering from heart ailments. Being Human has joined hands with the Fortis Foundation for the initiative. Under the programme, 42 children have already been treated and eight are currently hospitalised in Fortis.
“Everybody does charity, but not everybody likes to talk about it. Some may do it for personal benefits, to stay in the limelight or others might do it genuinely. According to me, you may do charity for any reason, but do it anyways. No matter what the intention is,” Salman told reporters.
When it comes to donation, the Dabangg star feels it’s even better to do it first hand. “Rather than giving money at a place where you don’t know how it will be utilised, it is better to make direct charity like funding a child’s education. At least you can see the results yourself,” he said.

| Salman Khan condemns Sarabjit Singh’s death

Bollywood star Salman Khan, who had launched an online petition asking for Sarabjit Singh‘s freedom in 2012, Thursday mourned the death of Indian death row prisoner Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan. “Freedom at last. Hope they give him to his family. We all tried, guess not hard enough. May god give his family strength and his soul rests in peace,” Salman posted on Twitter.
Last year, Salman urged his fans and the public to join an online petition that he planned to give to the Pakistan government in a bid to free Sarabjit, who was comatose since April 26 after being savagely attacked by fellow prisoners at the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore Sarabjit passed away early Thursday in a city hospital. He had spent over 20 years in jail and was sentenced to death for the Lahore and Multan bomb blasts that left 14 people dead.

| Salman Khan's Next Court Hearing On September 5

Bollywood actor Salman Khan's court hearing in the 2002 hit-and-run case has been adjourned to September 5. The court also announced that a different judge would be there in his next hearing. Salman Khan's Toyota Land cruiser SUV ran over a group of people sleeping on the pavement outside a bakery in Bandra in 2002. In the accident, one person was killed and four others were injured badly.
Earlier, Salman Khan was only being tried for rash and negligent driving, which has a sentence of two years. But in January 2013, the metropolitan magistrate, examined 17 witnesses related to the hit-and-run case and charged Salman Khan for culpable homicide. In March 2013, Salman Khan appealed against the magistrate's order and asked for a retrial in the case under the stringent charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
But on June 24, the Mumbai Sessions Court rejected Salman Khan's review petition. And now the actor is facing a fresh trial on the culpable homicide not amounting to murder case, under Section 304 of IPC. If convicted, Salman Khan will have to go to the jail for ten years.
In 1998, Salman Khan spent three days in jail for killing a blackbuck, during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hai, in Rajasthan.

Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif might have parted ways long back in real life, but at the end of the day, they are thorough professionals. And if the recent reports are to be believed, the B-Town's ex-lovers are all set to prove their professionalism once again, by reuniting onscreen.
According to the reports by a leading daily, Salman Khan's sister Alvira Khan and her director husband Atul Agnihotri have planned to reunite Salman and his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif once again onscreen. Reportedly, Katrina will be doing a cameo in an item song from Agnihotri's next, opposite Sallu. But, this isn't the first time Sallu and Kat will be seen doing an item number together. If reports by the daily are to be believed, Katrina Kaif gave a nod to 'Aaya Re Aaya' song, after Salman's sister Alvira and her husband Atul had requested her to do so. And now if things go fine, Sallu and Kat might again team up for Atul's upcoming movie.
On the other hand, there isn't such confirmation from Atul Agnihotri. The director refrained from revealing any details of the film, and told the daily that they are still working on the song.

No, its' not Salman Khan, who has taken an oath to break the Box Office records of rival Shahrukh Khan's latest release Chennai Express. We hear that it's Sallu's brother Sohail Khan, who has been telling people that his upcoming movie Mental will break the records of both Chennai Express and Dabangg.
A leading daily reported that Sohail Khan had recently attended a party at a plush Sobo club. Sources informed the daily that Khan was heard boasting about his upcoming release Mental to his friends and the other guests at the party. Sources say that Sohail further went on claiming that Mental will even break Chennai Express and Dabangg's Box Office records.
The movie Mental will feature Salman Khan, Sana Khan and debutant Daisy Shah in the leads. The film is all set to release on January 24, 2014. Salman Khan has been unstoppable at the Box Office in the last few years, for scoring centuries with Dabangg, Bodyguard, Ready and Ek Tha Tiger. Sallu has been the undisputed emperor of the elite 100-crore club.
Shahrukh's Chennai Express has smashed all previous records at the Indian Box Office. It has become the biggest opener in the history of Indian Cinema, beating the record of Salman's Ek Tha Tiger. We wonder if Salman's Mental manage to beat SRK's Chennai Express record.

Bollywood superstar Salman bhai aka Salman Khan has celebrated the special day of Raksha Bandhan with his sisters and family. Reportedly, Salman and his family recently celebrated a private Raksha Bandhan bash at sister Alvira Agnihotri's residence in Bandra, Mumbai.
As per the reports, Salman Khan, his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan and their wives Malaika Arora and Seema Khan too were present at the do. On the other hand, all the children of the Khan household too were spotted at Alvira's home. Salman has two sisters- Alvira Agnihotri Khan, who is married to filmmaker Atul Agnihotri and the other is Arpita Khan, the daughter of Salim Khan and Helen.
Salman and his brothers have always been very protective about their sisters and also share a great 'bhai-behan' relationship with one another. What we love the most about Sallu's family is the unity and bond that each member share with the other. Interestingly, Malaika's sister Amrita Arora and her newborn son Raayan too were spotted outside Alvira's residence.

The small kid in concern is Salman's niece, who reportedly flew down from abroad to be with the Khan family on Raksha Bandhan. The adorable kid in a cute, white dress was seen running away from the actor, every time he tried to hold her hands.
Salman Khan is one such actor, who has always expressed his love for kids. He has also been vocal about having kids, without getting married. No wonder, Sallu will surely make a great papa one day.

Amidst all the hype and Raksha Bandhan celebrations at Alvira Agnihotri Khan's residence, something struck our eyes. Reportedly, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who was recently spotted celebrating Raksha Bandhan at sister Alvira's residence, was seen holding some invitations cards.
Even at 47, Salman is still hot and happening. Yet, it's been a dream for his fans to see their favourite superstar getting married and settling down happily. But, time and again, Salman has somehow escaped the wedlock and remained a bachelor.
The recent pictures of Salman holding some beautifully designed invitation cards have certainly raised a few eyebrows...it might give the impression that Sallu is planning to get married soon!

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his family have been celebrating Ganpati puja every year at their residence for almost a decade now. Reportedly, it is actually Salman's younger sister Arpita Khan, who takes all the initiative to arrange everything for the puja, and brings the Ganesh idol to their home in Galaxy Apartments. This has been practised by the Khan family for the last 11 years. But, as per recent reports, there seems no room for Ganpati Bappa this year at Sallu's Galaxy Apartment, since the flat is being renovated.
Reportedly, Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment is currently up for renovation, hence the family has thus shifted out for six months. Every year, the superstar's family celebrate Ganpati puja at their Galaxy abode. But this year, there seems a change in plan, due to renovation work. According to a leading daily, Salman Khan and his family will conduct the Ganpati puja this year at their Panvel farmhouse.
Sources also informed the daily that every year, the Khan family immerse the elephant God's idol at the Bandra beach. But this year, they might do the immersion somewhere near Panvel. "Like every year, this year too Arpita will bring an eco-Ganpati as she believes in protecting the environment," sources informed the daily

| Falling rupee means no foreign shoots for Bollywood Indo-Asian

The falling Indian rupee has led to a sharp decline of up to 35 percent of Bollywood movies being shot in exotic foreign locales in the past four months, an industry study said.
The weakened rupee has not only restricted Indian filmmakers from shooting abroad, but compelled them to settle for locations within the country, said a study on "Weak Rupee dampens spirits of Bollywood film-makers in foreign location", conducted by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Assocham).
"There will be more cut-down in the number of films shot abroad, especially medium/low budget films and opting for lesser expensive destinations in south-east Asia, Middle East and South Africa," Assocham secretary-general DS Rawat said.
For Indian filmmakers, the cost turns out to be much higher in countries like the US, Britain, Germany, France, Sweden, Italy, Ireland and Denmark. They are also reducing the number of days from packages and looking to offset those costs by opting for shorter duration stays and looking at budget accommodation options, Rawat added.
There are changes in travel patterns as a majority of the filmmakers are opting for non-dollar destinations like Sri Lanka, Dubai, Bali and Phuket or sticking to favourite domestic locales like Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Goa and Kerala, the study said.
"Due to depreciating rupee, India has become an attractive destination, especially for the Bollywood filmmakers. This has given an unprecedented focus to domestic locations within India and re-emerging as a viable option," Rawat said from the study.
According to the Assocham assessment, while there was a 40 percent increase in shooting at foreign locales by Indian filmmakers in 2012, this year it has declined by 30 percent.
In contrast, from the decline of 20 percent in shooting at domestic locales by Indian filmmakers last year, in 2013 it has increased by 35 percent.
