Though Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish goes on the floors today, Aishwarya will report on the sets only from tomorrow. The mishap on the sets of Mani Ratnam’s Raavana near Cochin is the reason for Aishwarya’s postponed schedule.

A source said, “The mahout was killed by his elephant and it led to complete chaos. The mishap occurred just after the shoot was wrapped up and it even prevented Ash and Abhishek from reaching the hotel. As a result, there is a shift of location and the remaining shots with Aishwarya will be canned in Ooty. Her earlier schedule had allowed her a day free between the shoots of Raavana and Guzaarish, but not any more.”

Confirming the news, a source close to the actress said, “Aishwarya was to finish her shoot of Raavana today but due to the unfortunate elephant incident last evening, they had to request Sanjay Leela Bhansali for another day to complete her work. The unit of Raavana has shifted to Ooty for the rest of the schedule, which was originally meant to be shot in Kerala. Once she gets back, she will go straight to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sets.”

Aishwarya is very upset about the mishap. The source added, “She is worried about the mahout’s family and prays that they get through this moment of pain and loss.”

Mani Ratnam’s film Raavana is the prime reason for the delay in completion of Vipul Shah’s Action Replay, starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Vipul needs to shoot three songs with Aishwarya for the film, which reportedly is based on the Hollywood film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. With Aishwrya having to shoot extra portions for Raavana, Vipul’s plans to release his film in October have been foiled.

Vipul says, “Yes, what you have heard is true. I need about a fortnight from Aishwarya to shoot the three songs. I’m sure she’s as eager to complete the film as I am. Unfortunately, Raavana has taken far more of her time than she had expected. Besides, she is also shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish, so I have no option, but to wait.”

Vipul is hopeful of getting Aishwarya’s dates towards the end of September. However, they wouldn’t be sufficient as he also needs to shoot with her in November. Also, her dates will have to be co-ordinated with Akshay, who isn’t any less busy. “Both Aishwarya and Akshay are very professional. We’ll soon sort out the dates and as Akshay is also the co-producer of Action Replay, he has an added incentive to give me his dates,” adds Vipul.

About his plans for releasing the film, Vipul says, “I will only be able to release Action Replay next year. I had initially planned the release in October which was later pushed to December first week. But now I don’t want to release Action Replay in December even though I am sure it’ll be complete by then.”

Commenting on what prompted this change in plans, Vipul says, “I can’t release my film just a week after Akshay’s De Dana Dan, which releases on November 27. There’s no way we can have two Akshay starrers in two weeks. Another reason for the delay in Action Replay is that my film London Dreams releases on October 30.”

Aishwarya Rai is unwell but contrary to rumours, she isn’t suffering from swine flu. In fact, she has a chest infection. Mumbai Mirror had reported on Saturday that she has been shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish despite her ill-health.

But Aishwarya’s condition worsened and she has now been advised complete rest because of which she requested Bhansali to give her two days off from the shoot of his forthcoming film, Guzaarish, in which she stars opposite Hrithik Roshan.

The director readily granted her leave even though she was scheduled to shoot on Monday and Tuesday at Mehboob Studio. Aishwarya is currently under medication and is resting at home.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali had an unexpected guest on the sets of Guzaarish last Thursday at Mehboob Studios. Vivek Oberoi dropped by to meet his friend Hrithik Roshan and was seen chatting with him for close to two hours. However, the timing seemed all too convenient as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who once dated Vivek, was not present on the sets.

Our source from the sets said, “Vivek was doing a photo shoot at Mehboob Studios for Kurbaan with Saif and Kareena. While packing up in the evening, he learnt that his good friend Hrithik too was shooting in the same studio. So he thought of catching up with him. However, when Vivek learnt that Hrithik was shooting for Guzaarish, he contemplated whether he should pop in. He was apprehensive as he did not want to come face-to-face with Aishwarya, whom he was once dating. Only when he confirmed that Aishwarya was not present on the sets, did he go to meet Hrithik.”

The chance meeting between the two friends saw them catching up with each other after a long time. The source added, “Both Hrithik and Vivek have not been in touch with each other due to their professional commitments. Of late, they have only met each other at social events and parties, so they had a lot of catching up to do. They chatted about everything, from their films to personal lives, for almost two hours. Even Bhansali joined in their conversation.”

Although Vivek remained unavailable for comment, a close friend of his confirmed the news. He said, “Vivek is extremely fond of Hrithik. They are both from Juhu and have grown up together. When Vivek learnt that Hrithik was in Mehboob, he dropped in to meet him.”

There have been endless speculations as to when the most celebrated couple in Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan would bring in a new member to the Bachchan household. But now we hear it from the horse's mouth itself. In a recent interaction with the media Abhishek Bachchan said he would love to start his family pretty soon.

The actor added that starting a family is the reason everyone gets married and he would want to expand his family and have kids. The actor has however calculated on family planing and said that that 'Hum Do Hamare Do` will be the will be his guiding light whenever the time for starting the family sets in. As of now both Abhishek and Aishwarya are busy with multiple commitments and will be seen together in Mani Ratnam's Raavan.

It was reported that Aishwarya was stripped of her endorsement deal with a jewellery brand in favour of Katrina Kaif . Ash just can't take that. She clarified clear and loud that she was not dropped but voluntarily backed out following complications in the company.

Aishwarya said that she chose not to renew the contract with the jewellery brand. She added that she decided not to renew the endorsement deal after the brand she had contract with and another jeweller that came under the brand parted ways.

In fact, Aishwarya is furious at the reports that she has been dropped by various brands due to her age. She said that no one has ever dropped her. She added that she decided to stop endorsing the Cola brand post marriage, as her hubby Abhishek and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan were endorsing Cola rival brand.

Noted ad film maker turned filmmaker Rajeev Menon is going to make a film after a long gap. The numero uno actress of Indian Cinema Aishwarya Bachchan will be the heroine in this yet to be titled flick.

Sources close to Menon confirm that Abhishek Bachan is going to play the lead role in this film. Rajeev Menon told in his recent interview that he would like to make a film like Abhimaan, the Amitabh starrer with Aish and Abhishek shortly.

"But definitely it will not be a remake of Abhiman. But may be the story line is similar to Abhimaan.." says Rajedev Menon. Hey... this is what the people called remake man!

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has given him strict instructions to put on weight for his role in Guzaarish, where he cats opposite Aishwarya Bachchan. Since he plays the role of a paraplegic patient, he has to have a lean look and put on weight around the stomach and abs.

The latest buzz about in the Gandhinagar rumour mills is that Bollywood actress Aishwarya Bachchan (Rai) is going to debut in Kannada through superstar Upendra's forthcoming movie. However, Uppi, who is busy preparing script and it will be ready by this month end, has titled his next movie after 'Hand Symbol', which means Super.

Many rumours about his next movie are making rounds in Gandhinagar after Upendra announced his comeback to direction. Earlier, it was reported that besides penning story screenplay, dialogues and lyrics for the movie, he would also compose music for the movie. The shooting of the movie will take place in London and the movie would be made with the budget of Rs 20 crores.

Now, latest update on the movie is that Aishwarya Bachchan is entering Kannada film industry through this movie. Although Uppi has not confirmed any information about her appearance in his forthcoming movie, the rumours are making it big in Gandhinagar. Besides Kannada, the movie will also be made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu at the same time.

It is said that producer Rockline Venkatesh is going to the produce the movie, which will be made with big budget of Rs 20 crores. According to Upendra, this movie will be totally different from his previous movies. When asked about signing in Aishwarya Bachchan for his next movie, he smiles and says, "Please don't ask me anything about the movie. Right now, I can't say you anything about it.
